# Traction Events Community

Use this skill for channels where distribution comes from existing gatherings,
platforms, events, talks, or communities.

## Source Traceability

Primary source: Traction, chapters 20-24 and the appendix. Authoring notes:
converted lines 2704-3218 and 3359-3372.

## Channel Options

- **Existing platforms**: reach users already active on a major or niche
  platform.
- **Trade shows**: use industry events to meet buyers, partners, or press.
- **Offline events**: host or sponsor gatherings for the target market.
- **Speaking engagements**: teach or tell a useful story to a relevant room.
- **Community building**: participate in or build a community around the
  problem, product, or audience.

## Workflow

1. Identify where the target audience already gathers.
2. Choose one channel strategy: platform tactic, event, talk, or community
   contribution.
3. Define the role: attendee, exhibitor, sponsor, speaker, host, or member.
4. Prepare the asset: talk, booth offer, platform post, community guide, event
   agenda, or follow-up sequence.
5. Track conversations, signups, qualified leads, partnerships, and retention.
6. Decide whether to repeat, deepen, or stop.
