{"slug":"product-decision-record","source_name":"product-decision-record","name":"Product decision record","description":"Use when someone has made (or is about to lock in) a product or strategy bet — build-vs-buy, a pricing move, a target-segment choice, a platform pick, deprecating something customers rely on — and wants it written down so the call and its tradeoffs stay legible later. Captures four fixed parts: the decision, the context as it stood at the time, the options considered with why each was or wasn't chosen, and whether the bet is hard to undo or cheap to reverse — and lets that reversibility set how much rigor the record demands. Do NOT use to pitch a not-yet-made decision to a reader (that is a one-pager), to write a full spec/PRD, or to decide a live incident rollback.","version":1,"lift":{"pass_rate_delta_pts":null,"pass_rate_pct":57.1,"total_cases":14,"passed_cases":8,"tokens_delta_pct":497,"turns_delta_pct":0,"verdict":"mixed","benchmark_model":"gemini-3.5-flash","grading_method":"judged","completed_at":"2026-07-10T16:23:16.803526+00:00"},"skill_score":0.65625,"benchmark_models":[{"model":"gemini-3.5-flash","headline":false,"delta_pts":null,"with_pass_pct":null,"without_pass_pct":null,"tokens_delta_pct":497,"turns_delta_pct":0,"total_cases":14,"cases_aggregated":14,"verdict":"mixed","never_hurt":true,"completed_at":"2026-07-10T16:23:16.803526+00:00","run_id":"e17e88c1-b0bf-4607-b9a3-32c320fa75e6","latest_attempt":{"id":"e17e88c1-b0bf-4607-b9a3-32c320fa75e6","runner_model":"gemini-3.5-flash","overall_verdict":"mixed","completed_at":"2026-07-10T16:23:16.803526+00:00","gate":"not_comparable"},"version_number":1,"is_latest_version":true,"gate":"not_comparable"}],"trust":{"skill_safety":"passed","safety_status":"clean","intent_verdict":"safe","content_status":"clean","indexable":false},"license":null,"install_count":1,"total_uses":137,"total_users":3,"manifest_hash":"048ead720e2488a422b927d378f99e78e45a86995bb14629f28ba1cd54b5c243","install_name":"product-decision-record","version_id":"60379384-1f19-482a-b05c-49366000a901","body_sha256":"e17582883ca63ba5414e066853d3640a1d94f41011f79c40467534e3f6d19284","render_hash":"830d1aa6f31a018711b7b1e07e194425c3ca9fd201e515f53b7857b630abc715","raw_url":"https://app.decimal.ai/s/product-decision-record/SKILL.md","scorecard_url":"https://app.decimal.ai/skills/product-decision-record"}
