Your framework

Claude Code docs

No account or Python needed. Claude Code picks it up in its next session.

Save it into your project

curl -fsSL --create-dirs -o .claude/skills/blackbelttechnology-craft-data-visual/SKILL.md https://app.decimal.ai/s/blackbelttechnology-craft-data-visual/SKILL.md

Keep it pinned and updatable

pip install "decimalai>=0.15"
decimalai skills add blackbelttechnology-craft-data-visual
claude --plugin-dir "$(git rev-parse --show-toplevel)/.agents"

Type these in a Claude Code session. No account or API key. It writes the skill and any files it bundles, and asks first when its safety rating isn't Passed.

Add the DecimalAI plugin, once

/plugin marketplace add decimal-labs/decimalai-claude-plugins
/plugin install decimalai@decimalai

Install this skill

/decimalai:install blackbelttechnology-craft-data-visual

The plugin needs python3 and curl on your machine.

Claude Agent SDK docs

agent_config() hands your agent the skill. With no DecimalAI key it reads your project's files and sends nothing. Needs SDK 0.27 or newer.

Install

pip install "decimalai[claude-agent-sdk]"
decimalai skills add blackbelttechnology-craft-data-visual

Add it to your agent

import asyncio

from claude_agent_sdk import ClaudeAgentOptions
from decimalai.claude_agent_sdk import agent_config

            print(message)

# In a notebook or async code: await main()
asyncio.run(main())

Prefer its own loader? ClaudeAgentOptions(plugins=[skills_plugin()], skills="all") reads the same folder. Use one or the other: a skill delivered both ways reaches the prompt twice.

The same install from Python, for a notebook or a setup script. agent_config() hands your agent the skill. With no DecimalAI key it reads your project's files and sends nothing. Needs SDK 0.27 or newer.

Install

pip install "decimalai[claude-agent-sdk]"

Add it to your agent

asyncio.run(main())

Prefer its own loader? ClaudeAgentOptions(plugins=[skills_plugin()], skills="all") reads the same folder. Use one or the other: a skill delivered both ways reaches the prompt twice.

No DecimalAI package. The whole skill goes in every prompt, and nothing pins or updates it.

Google ADK docs

agent_config() hands your agent the skill. With no DecimalAI key it reads your project's files and sends nothing. Needs SDK 0.27 or newer.

Install

pip install "decimalai[adk]"
decimalai skills add blackbelttechnology-craft-data-visual

Add it to your agent

from decimalai.adk import DecimalAIPlugin, agent_config
from google.adk.agents import LlmAgent
from google.adk.apps import App

# With no DECIMAL_API_KEY this reads the skills your project lists, from disk.
support = agent_config("support", fallback="You are a helpful agent.")

agent = LlmAgent(

app = App(name="support", root_agent=agent, plugins=[DecimalAIPlugin()])

Prefer ADK's own loader? SkillToolset(skills=decimalai.adk.skills(), ...) reads the same folder. Use one or the other: a skill delivered both ways reaches the prompt twice.

Install

pip install "decimalai[adk]"

Claude Code reads files from your project, so DecimalAI config does not apply there.

On Claude Agent SDK: save the skill to an agent here, set DECIMAL_API_KEY, and the same code uses it with no command to run. Changes you save reach the next run with no redeploy.

SKILL.md174 linessingle file

The instructions your model reads when the skill loads.

craft-data-visual — data → workbook + read-back → chart → infographic → slide

GridCraft computes and charts, VectorCraft makes an accent graphic, DesignCraft lays the infographic out, DeckCraft puts it on a slide. GridCraft prints formula errors with exit 0, so the chart's source range is read back before anything is exported. Read gridcraft, vectorcraft, designcraft and deckcraft first. Resumable-job rules are in the craft-studio router, section Craft jobs.

Step table

#	Step	Tool	Input → Output	Gate
0	Preflight + job	agent	request → `job.json`	`check: job`
1	Workbook + read-back	GridCraft	data → `01-data/data.xlsx`	`check: readback`
2	Chart	GridCraft + PdfCraft + PhotoCraft	workbook → `02-chart/chart.pdf`, `chart.png`	`pi-craft verify --pages --text-contains`, `--size`
3	Infographic	VectorCraft + DesignCraft	chart + figure → `03-infographic/infographic.pdf`	`pi-craft verify --pages --text-contains`, `--size`
4	Slide	DeckCraft	infographic → `04-slide/slide.pptx`, `slide.pdf`	`pi-craft verify --pages --text-contains`

Hand-off formats: xlsx between 1 and 2, png for the chart and every placement, svg only for the VectorCraft accent (gated through its png preview, never passed to pi-craft verify), pdf for delivery. GridCraft has no chart image command: the chart comes from its PDF export (run --in x.xlsx --out x.pdf), rendered by PdfCraft and trimmed by PhotoCraft.

Step 0 — Preflight and job

Output: craft-jobs/<slug>/job.json (created or loaded). Gate: check: job.

No sibling skills are referenced: the apps are provisioned by pi-craft itself, so there is no degraded path — if an app cannot be provisioned, stop and report it. Ask for the data (a file or numbers), the chart type and the title. Set up the job (Craft jobs in craft-studio: slug rule, job-helper) and run Resume.

# run from the directory that contains craft-jobs/ (SLUG set as in step 0)
jq -e '.name and .workflow and (.steps | type == "object")' "craft-jobs/$SLUG/job.json"

Step 1 — Workbook and read-back

Output: 01-data/data.xlsx (data, formulas and the chart object) and 01-data/readback.out. Gate: check: readback — the chart's source range contains none of #NAME? #DIV/0! #REF! #VALUE! #N/A #NUM! #NULL!. A hit stops the step: fix the formula (pi-craft gridcraft exec cat data.xlsx --formulas shows the source) and no chart is exported.
