Carousel Builder — one idea, ten slides, a save at the end

ootto-ai/carousel-builder

Turns one idea into a swipeable carousel — slide-by-slide copy, a slide 1 that stops the scroll, and a last slide worth saving.

What it changes

One test taskWrite slide 1 for a swipeable post on B2B lead generation targeting startup founders. Make the hook text: 'Why Your Startup Sales Pipeline Is Completely Empty This Quarter'.

Without the skillMissed

With the skillPassed

Same model, same task. Answers are capped and redacted.

Passed 13 of 22 test cases with the skill, and 9 of 22 without it.

Without skill41%

With skill59%

Checks it passed that the model alone missed: 8

The first slide text contains strictly under 8 words.
The slide contains no more than two supporting lines beneath the header line.
The proposed slide 1 hook line is trimmed or rewritten to be strictly under 8 words.

Claude Code docs

No account or Python needed. Claude Code picks it up in its next session.

Save it into your project

curl -fsSL --create-dirs -o .claude/skills/ootto-ai-carousel-builder/SKILL.md https://app.decimal.ai/s/ootto-ai-carousel-builder/SKILL.md

Keep it pinned and updatable

pip install "decimalai>=0.15"
decimalai skills add ootto-ai-carousel-builder
claude --plugin-dir "$(git rev-parse --show-toplevel)/.agents"

Type these in a Claude Code session. No account or API key. It writes the skill and any files it bundles, and asks first when its safety rating isn't Passed.

Add the DecimalAI plugin, once

/plugin marketplace add decimal-labs/decimalai-claude-plugins
/plugin install decimalai@decimalai

Install this skill

/decimalai:install ootto-ai-carousel-builder

The plugin needs python3 and curl on your machine.

Claude Agent SDK docs

agent_config() hands your agent the skill. With no DecimalAI key it reads your project's files and sends nothing. Needs SDK 0.27 or newer.

Install

pip install "decimalai[claude-agent-sdk]"
decimalai skills add ootto-ai-carousel-builder

Add it to your agent

import asyncio

from claude_agent_sdk import ClaudeAgentOptions
from decimalai.claude_agent_sdk import agent_config

            print(message)

# In a notebook or async code: await main()
asyncio.run(main())

Prefer its own loader? ClaudeAgentOptions(plugins=[skills_plugin()], skills="all") reads the same folder. Use one or the other: a skill delivered both ways reaches the prompt twice.

The same install from Python, for a notebook or a setup script. agent_config() hands your agent the skill. With no DecimalAI key it reads your project's files and sends nothing. Needs SDK 0.27 or newer.

Install

agent_config() hands your agent the skill. With no DecimalAI key it reads your project's files and sends nothing. Needs SDK 0.27 or newer.

Cursor and other editors docs

No account or Python needed. Cursor, Copilot, Cline and Warp read this folder by themselves.

Save it into your project

curl -fsSL --create-dirs -o .agents/skills/ootto-ai-carousel-builder/SKILL.md https://app.decimal.ai/s/ootto-ai-carousel-builder/SKILL.md

Keep it pinned and updatable

pip install "decimalai>=0.15"
decimalai skills add ootto-ai-carousel-builder

Other setups docs

Fetch the file and give its text to your model as instructions. No account or package needed.

Get the file

curl -fsSL https://app.decimal.ai/s/ootto-ai-carousel-builder/SKILL.md

Read the summary as JSON

curl -fsSL https://app.decimal.ai/s/ootto-ai-carousel-builder.json

Now try it

Give your agent this task. In testing, the model failed it without the skill and passed it with the skill.

Write slide 1 for a swipeable post on B2B lead generation targeting startup founders. Make the hook text: 'Why Your Startup Sales Pipeline Is Completely Empty This Quarter'.

What to look for

The proposed slide 1 hook line is trimmed or rewritten to be strictly under 8 words.

Manage it in DecimalAI

Optional, not a framework

Saved prompts and skills, pinned versions, and traces of this skill in your runs. DecimalAI does not run your agent.

Claude Code reads files from your project, so DecimalAI config does not apply there.

On Claude Agent SDK: save the skill to an agent here, set DECIMAL_API_KEY, and the same code uses it with no command to run. Changes you save reach the next run with no redeploy.

On OpenAI Agents: save the skill to an agent here, set DECIMAL_API_KEY, and the same code uses it with no command to run. Changes you save reach the next run with no redeploy.

SKILL.md38 linessingle file

The instructions your model reads when the skill loads.

Carousel Builder — one idea, ten slides, a save at the end

Turns one idea into a swipeable carousel — slide-by-slide copy, a slide 1 that stops the scroll, and a last slide worth saving.

When to use

An idea that's better swiped than watched — a list, a framework, a teardown.

What you'll need

The idea, your audience, and the one action you want at the end.

Instructions

Give Claude the input and run this.

You are my carousel writer. Idea: [IDEA]. Audience: [WHO]. Goal: [save/follow/DM].

Build a 8-10 slide carousel:
- SLIDE 1: the scroll-stopper. Big claim or sharp question, under 8 words. This carries the whole post.
- SLIDES 2-N: ONE idea per slide — a bolded line plus at most two supporting lines. No slide holds two thoughts.
- SECOND-TO-LAST: the summary or checklist people screenshot.
- LAST: the single ask.

Then give me:
1. The caption, with the hook line repeated differently in the first sentence.
2. The visual note per slide (what's shown, not just said).
3. Where the CTA goes and why.

Honesty: If a slide needs three lines to make sense, it's two slides. Cramming is the most common carousel failure.

Next: cover-thumbnail-brief → caption-and-hashtags
