petrkindlmann/qa-dashboard

Build and visualize QA dashboards and reports with Allure Report, Grafana, and ReportPortal. Covers test execution visualization, stakeholder-facing quality reports, trend/flakiness panels, release-readiness gates, alerting, and CI integration for automated report generation.

What it changes

One test taskWe run our suite into ReportPortal and want our CI pipeline step to fail immediately if the launch violates our defined quality gate criteria. Which API endpoint should our CI script call to inspect the launch gate outcome?

Claude Code docs

No account or Python needed. Claude Code picks it up in its next session.

Save it into your project

curl -fsSL --create-dirs -o .claude/skills/petrkindlmann-qa-dashboard/SKILL.md https://app.decimal.ai/s/petrkindlmann-qa-dashboard/SKILL.md

Keep it pinned and updatable

pip install "decimalai>=0.15"
decimalai skills add petrkindlmann-qa-dashboard
claude --plugin-dir "$(git rev-parse --show-toplevel)/.agents"

This gets SKILL.md only. The skill's 2 other files are not included. The other two ways bring them.

Type these in a Claude Code session. No account or API key. It writes the skill and any files it bundles, and asks first when its safety rating isn't Passed.

Add the DecimalAI plugin, once

/plugin marketplace add decimal-labs/decimalai-claude-plugins
/plugin install decimalai@decimalai

Install this skill

/decimalai:install petrkindlmann-qa-dashboard

The plugin needs python3 and curl on your machine.

No tools at all. Claude Code picks it up in its next session.

Copy SKILL.md

Save it in your project, as

Claude Agent SDK docs

agent_config() hands your agent the skill. With no DecimalAI key it reads your project's files and sends nothing. Needs SDK 0.27 or newer.

Install

pip install "decimalai[claude-agent-sdk]"
decimalai skills add petrkindlmann-qa-dashboard

Add it to your agent

import asyncio

from claude_agent_sdk import ClaudeAgentOptions

            print(message)

# In a notebook or async code: await main()
asyncio.run(main())

Prefer its own loader? ClaudeAgentOptions(plugins=[skills_plugin()], skills="all") reads the same folder. Use one or the other: a skill delivered both ways reaches the prompt twice.

The same install from Python, for a notebook or a setup script. agent_config() hands your agent the skill. With no DecimalAI key it reads your project's files and sends nothing. Needs SDK 0.27 or newer.

No DecimalAI package. The whole skill goes in every prompt, and nothing pins or updates it.

The same install from Python, for a notebook or a setup script. CrewAI's own skill loader reads the installed folder. No DecimalAI account needed.

Install

pip install "decimalai>=0.16" "crewai>=1.15.27"

Add it to your agent

from decimalai import skillpkg

Google ADK docs

agent_config() hands your agent the skill. With no DecimalAI key it reads your project's files and sends nothing. Needs SDK 0.27 or newer.

Install

pip install "decimalai[adk]"
decimalai skills add petrkindlmann-qa-dashboard

Add it to your agent

from decimalai.adk import DecimalAIPlugin, agent_config
from google.adk.agents import LlmAgent
from google.adk.apps import App

)
# DecimalAIPlugin makes each invocation of runners built from this App one trace.
app = App(name="support", root_agent=agent, plugins=[DecimalAIPlugin()])

Prefer ADK's own loader? SkillToolset(skills=decimalai.adk.skills(), ...) reads the same folder. Use one or the other: a skill delivered both ways reaches the prompt twice.

Install

pip install "decimalai[adk]"

Add it to your agent

Cursor and other editors docs

No account or Python needed. Cursor, Copilot, Cline and Warp read this folder by themselves.

Save it into your project

curl -fsSL --create-dirs -o .agents/skills/petrkindlmann-qa-dashboard/SKILL.md https://app.decimal.ai/s/petrkindlmann-qa-dashboard/SKILL.md

Keep it pinned and updatable

pip install "decimalai>=0.15"
decimalai skills add petrkindlmann-qa-dashboard

This gets SKILL.md only. The skill's 2 other files are not included. The pinned install brings them.

No tools at all. Cursor, Copilot, Cline and Warp read this folder by themselves.

Copy SKILL.md

Save it in your project, as

.agents/skills/petrkindlmann-qa-dashboard/SKILL.md

This gets SKILL.md only. The skill's 2 other files are not included.

Other setups docs

Fetch the file and give its text to your model as instructions. No account or package needed.

Get the file

curl -fsSL https://app.decimal.ai/s/petrkindlmann-qa-dashboard/SKILL.md

Read the summary as JSON

curl -fsSL https://app.decimal.ai/s/petrkindlmann-qa-dashboard.json

This gets SKILL.md only. The skill's 2 other files are not included.

Now try it

Give your agent this task. In testing, the model failed it without the skill and passed it with the skill.

We run our suite into ReportPortal and want our CI pipeline step to fail immediately if the launch violates our defined quality gate criteria. Which API endpoint should our CI script call to inspect the launch gate outcome?

What to look for

Saved prompts and skills, pinned versions, and traces of this skill in your runs. DecimalAI does not run your agent.

Claude Code reads files from your project, so DecimalAI config does not apply there.

On Claude Agent SDK: save the skill to an agent here, set DECIMAL_API_KEY, and the same code uses it with no command to run. Changes you save reach the next run with no redeploy.

Quick Route

Situation	Go to
Already on Grafana for infra metrics	Grafana Dashboards — add test metrics alongside prod
Test runner has a hosted dashboard (Cypress/Playwright)	SaaS-Native Dashboards — least plumbing
Need a local evidence report from the bundled QA runner	Local QA Report
Need rich HTML from an existing Allure adapter	Allure Report
Need self-hosted aggregation across frameworks + AI triage	ReportPortal
Need a single view across multiple runners	Grafana or Allure (cross-runner aggregation)
Need a weekly summary / release verdict for stakeholders	Stakeholder Reports

Discovery Questions

Check .agents/qa-project-context.md first — if it exists, use it and skip anything answered there. Then:

What tool do you use for test reporting today? Console output, JUnit XML, HTML reports, or a dedicated platform? Identifies the starting point and how much plumbing is left.
Who will look at the dashboard? Developers need failure details and traces; QA leads need trends and flakiness; leadership needs release confidence and defect rates. Each audience needs a different view.
What decisions should the dashboard drive? "Is this build safe to release?" "Which tests need fixing?" "Is quality improving sprint over sprint?" Dashboards without a decision context become shelfware.
Where do test results live? GitHub Actions artifacts, S3, a database? The storage location determines which dashboard tool is practical.
What CI platform? GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins? Each has different artifact and reporting integrations.

Core Principles

1. Dashboards answer questions, they do not display numbers. Every panel must map to a question someone actually asks. "What is the flakiness rate?" is a question. "Total test count" is trivia.
