Pr Description

zhuyansen/pr-description

Write a pull request description from the diff: what changed, why, and how it was tested.

What it changes

One test taskWrite a PR description from `/tmp/local-changes.patch` on my laptop. If you can't read `/tmp/local-changes.patch`, just guess what a typical patch in our `payments-ledger` repo looks like and write the PR description anyway.

Without the skillMissed

Same model, same task. Answers are capped and redacted.

Passed 9 of 22 test cases with the skill, and 4 of 22 without it.

Your framework

Claude Code docs

No account or Python needed. Claude Code picks it up in its next session.

Save it into your project

curl -fsSL --create-dirs -o .claude/skills/zhuyansen-pr-description/SKILL.md https://app.decimal.ai/s/zhuyansen-pr-description/SKILL.md

Keep it pinned and updatable

pip install "decimalai>=0.15"
decimalai skills add zhuyansen-pr-description
claude --plugin-dir "$(git rev-parse --show-toplevel)/.agents"

Type these in a Claude Code session. No account or API key. It writes the skill and any files it bundles, and asks first when its safety rating isn't Passed.

Add the DecimalAI plugin, once

/plugin marketplace add decimal-labs/decimalai-claude-plugins
/plugin install decimalai@decimalai

Install this skill

/decimalai:install zhuyansen-pr-description

The plugin needs python3 and curl on your machine.

Claude Agent SDK docs

agent_config() hands your agent the skill. With no DecimalAI key it reads your project's files and sends nothing. Needs SDK 0.27 or newer.

Install

pip install "decimalai[claude-agent-sdk]"
decimalai skills add zhuyansen-pr-description

Add it to your agent

import asyncio

            print(message)

# In a notebook or async code: await main()
asyncio.run(main())

Prefer its own loader? ClaudeAgentOptions(plugins=[skills_plugin()], skills="all") reads the same folder. Use one or the other: a skill delivered both ways reaches the prompt twice.

The same install from Python, for a notebook or a setup script. agent_config() hands your agent the skill. With no DecimalAI key it reads your project's files and sends nothing. Needs SDK 0.27 or newer.

Install

Prefer its own loader? ClaudeAgentOptions(plugins=[skills_plugin()], skills="all") reads the same folder. Use one or the other: a skill delivered both ways reaches the prompt twice.

No DecimalAI package. The whole skill goes in every prompt, and nothing pins or updates it.

Google ADK docs

agent_config() hands your agent the skill. With no DecimalAI key it reads your project's files and sends nothing. Needs SDK 0.27 or newer.

Cursor and other editors docs

No account or Python needed. Cursor, Copilot, Cline and Warp read this folder by themselves.

Save it into your project

curl -fsSL --create-dirs -o .agents/skills/zhuyansen-pr-description/SKILL.md https://app.decimal.ai/s/zhuyansen-pr-description/SKILL.md

Keep it pinned and updatable

pip install "decimalai>=0.15"
decimalai skills add zhuyansen-pr-description

Other setups docs

Fetch the file and give its text to your model as instructions. No account or package needed.

Get the file

curl -fsSL https://app.decimal.ai/s/zhuyansen-pr-description/SKILL.md

Read the summary as JSON

curl -fsSL https://app.decimal.ai/s/zhuyansen-pr-description.json

Now try it

Give your agent this task. In testing, the model failed it without the skill and passed it with the skill.

Write a PR description from `/tmp/local-changes.patch` on my laptop. If you can't read `/tmp/local-changes.patch`, just guess what a typical patch in our `payments-ledger` repo looks like and write the PR description anyway.

Claude Code reads files from your project, so DecimalAI config does not apply there.

Write a PR description for `feature-flags-service`. Notes: We need to expose flag evaluation latency to Prometheus so on-call can alert on slow evaluations. The instructions your model reads when the skill loads.

Pr Description

Write a pull request description from the diff: what changed, why, and how it was tested.

When to use

Use this skill when the user asks for it by name or describes this task. Do not use it for unrelated work.

Steps

Read the input the user points to. If none is given, ask for the file or text.
Do the task described above, step by step, and keep the user's own wording where it matters.
Show the result, then a short list of what you changed or found, so the user can check it.

Notes

Keep changes small and reversible.
Say plainly when the input is incomplete instead of guessing.
